The Proven Experience Necessary

I am the current Camas School Board Director for Position 2. As you know Camas schools are highly desirable for those looking to move to Clark County. While being a member of the award winning Camas School Board the MSP scores, sports programs, program offerings and success of the district has grown. As a school board member my decisions impact the lives of every student in the district. However, I do not do this alone. I am part of a five member team who are dedicated to what they do and work together toward a common goal. Additionally, many outstanding Camas School District staff and parents help to make our district great. Over my time as a School Board Director I have built strong relationships with my fellow school board directors, district administrators, staff and my community. I value all of the stakeholders who make our schools successful.

I have overcome the steep learning curve for new school board directors. Voting for me means that on day one of my next term your school board will be able to hit the ground running and take the district to the next level because members of the board and Camas School District staff will not be burdened with bringing an inexperienced board member up to speed. Besides my years of proven experience, I am continually educating myself on community, business and educational issues where I can make the best decisions and be the most effective.

You know as well as I do that it is not sound business sense to change the leadership of a successful organization. Camas School District is thriving under the direction of the current Camas School Board. When re-elected to the Camas School Board I will continue to use my proven experience and strategic leadership to make the best decisions for Camas families. Please vote for me on November 5, 2013.

Rotz is dedicated

I want to thank Camas School Board Director and current Camas School Board Vice President, Mary Tipton, for her editorial in the Camas-Washougal Post Record:

Rotz is dedicated

I am endorsing Julie Rotz for re-election to the Camas School Board.

During the time I have served with Julie on the board, I have witnessed her dedication and commitment to the Camas School District and her support of excellence in learning and achievement for all students.

Julie has a strong background in technology and business. She lends her expertise to both the board and to committees that she serves on. I have served with her on the Technology Committee for the past 2 years where Julie has been actively involved and provided key insights to the development of the district’s technology strategic plan.

Julie also was a board liaison to the recent Boundary Review Committee, which formed the recommendations for changes due to bringing on the sixth elementary school to Camas — the new Woodburn Elementary School.

As a part of this committee, I feel that Julie demonstrated a connection to the community and ability to listen to parents and community members as she helped shape the committee’s recommendations.

For all these reasons, please join me in voting for Julie Rotz for the Camas School Board.

Mary Tipton, Camas
